#1. My work was significant in my educational and personal growth, mainly because it made me step out of my comfort zone. On the educational side, i was put into the position of not being able to chose what type of work I got to do, or how much. Unlike school, where yo can sometimes chose the work that you do or when you do it, with an internship, you don't get that luxury and they decide for you. While on the personal side, I had to step out of my comfort zone when I needed to learn how to communicate with adults in an adult way, which is challenging for me, especially since I am an introvert.
#2. My view beyond high school changed when I saw how difficult the real world can be. No matter how much you say you knew it would be hard, you never really understand the challenge of it until you experience it first hand. Over my time as an intern, I began to see just how hard the real world is, and like most teens, I never really understood my parents when they would say how having a real job was much harder that school. After the last month, I can safely say I am beginning to have an understanding of that now.
#3. Communication and collaboration played a huge role in understanding professional working environments. In a professional environment, like a business per say, you need to work with your peers in order to get the jobs done, unlike in a school setting, where the projects are designed around us, in a professional setting, we need to mold to the project, because they aren't there for our benefit, they're there in order to make the business run.
